About the huts
From the moment you arrive, feel the stress melt away with effortless parking and an easy to understand welcome pack.
Step inside the homely hut and freshen up after a journey in the privacy of your own en-suite bathroom, fully equipped with a toilet, wash basin and shower. Dry off with the softest towels, all provided by us.
Stoke the wood burning fire and hunker down for the night in our traditional wood and tin huts. With the comfiest pocket sprung double mattress and softest Egyptian cotton sheets, you can be certain of a perfect night’s sleep. Each hut has double glazing and is also fully insulated to ensure you remain toasty, long after the fire burns out.
Speaking of toast… Knock up a hearty breakfast in the morning in the kitchenette. Each hut has a beautiful Butler sink, fridge, toaster, kettle and hob all at your disposal.
If outdoor cooking is more your thing, Sussex is one of the top 5 sunniest counties in England, so you’ll be sure to find a day to make full use of the outside BBQ area.
When you feel relaxed and ready to explore, Meadowgate is within easy reach of both the stunning South Downs and the award winning West Wittering Beach. Why not hire a bikefrom a local shop, and take a leisurely ride to see all that West Sussex has to offer?
Rates
We currently have three Huts available for bookings.
Ash, Oak and Birch. Ash and Oak are available to couples who would like to bring their four-legged friend with them! (Surcharge may be applicable).
Please note we have a 2 night minimum stay 3 night minimum stay bank holiday weekends policy. For longer stays, please contact us. We currently offer a 7 night stay for the price pf 6.

About Meadowgate Nursery
Meadowgate is a family run nursery, growing ornamental grasses for over 10 years. We are passionate about what we do, and are lucky enough to do it in one of the most beautiful settings on the South coast.
The Shepherds Huts are situated in a field within the nursery itself and offer a unique and appealing place to spend a weekend. In the morning you can hear a beautiful dawn chorus and in the evening you can catch some superb sunsets.
We thought it was high time we shared our hidden gem with the wider world, and Meadowgate Shepherds Huts were born!
